Cabomba Caroliniana Herbicide Trials
Terra Pura was involved in the data collation, analysis, and technical reporting phase of this important work. Through this, measures of weed condition and growth, alongside environmental parameters were analysed to determine the effectiveness of specific herbicides for future use. The undertaking of such research, and the appropriate interpretation of these results is critical, as it means that tools can be utilized to relieve pressure on our native biodiversity.
Biosecurity is critical for ensuring the health of New Zealand’s ecosystems for future generations. This is why when the invasive aquatic species, Cabomba caroliniana, was detected that trials were initiated by the Auckland Council and Biosecurity NZ to determine the most effective way to control the species.
